Question 1:
How have your classes been affected by the recession?Answer: They haven't really been affected. A few people have stopped coming to class, but the majority of the students have stayed to continue dancing.
Question 1:
How has your building size, and spending, been affected by the economic financial situation we are in?
Answer: We aren't really building on to this building, and everything we've gotten in a lot of the rooms were donated, so we've been good.We don't really spend 'thousands' on our productions and shows, so I'd say we're managing very well.
Randy's Class:
I woke up too early and couldn't go back to sleep. My internship starts at 10, but I came to school around 7.45. I didn't have breakfast because I wasn't hungry. But I should have eaten because towards the start of my internship, my stomach started to growl, and that was kind of embarrassing. But to bypass the time between 7.45 and 10, I went to school, and worked on random stuff. I got prepared for my internship, and made sure i had all my papers ad questions done.
When I got to my internship, I was immediately put to work. I worked on the mailing list, to send invites of the dance shows to numerous dance companies around Southern California. This consisted of getting their zip codes, posting the addresses, and stamping each invite. After doing all this, I helped work with the ticket sales, and then I went to lunch. I got a school lunch, because I didn't feel like spending money. When I came back, I continued and finished my work on the ticket selling and addressing, and I worked on setting up the show room. It was non-stop work. Bringing different items in and out of many rooms... etc.
Over the next few days, I see myself working on setting up the show room, and getting everything ready for the upcoming shows. I think I've been doing good. I've done everything I've been asked to do, and made sure I did it right. I think I accidentally left Ms.Jean's car unlocked when I came inside from getting everything from her car... but yeah. I need to work harder on staying off of my cell phone. I kept texting, and if a friend called, I would answer the phone and have a conversation.. although I did always manage to get myself back on task and ignore my phone. But I still need to work on that.
