Why do you dance?
Everyday we, as humans, express ourselves through movement using gesture and body language. Dance gives me the opportunity to build on this concept and create emotion with motion. I believe that true art makes the viewer think or feel in a new way, this is something that I hope to accomplish with my dancing.I also love th athleticism of dance, the physicality.
What college did you go to, and what did you study there?
I went to Chapman University with the intention of pursuing dance and receive a BFA in Dance Performance in 2004. Then after taking a yea off from school, attended Florida State University for a Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) in Dance and Choreography.
That also answered a few of my other questions.
Do you plan on dancing forever?
I hope to continue being a teacher and professional dancer. My university education has prepared me to be a college professor some day. I would like to share with others, the passion I feel for dance.
