Internship #11

Please post a summary of your week at internship. What were the highlights? What were the challenges? What was memorable and wh

This week at internship has been a big learning experience. I  learned how to use paypal. I learned the whole box office thing, as well as marketing. I saw the multiple things and people involved in making a business successful. There are the dancer, that present the talent and pretty much the product being sold... i guess in a way. There are the graphic designers that make the flyers to attract people to watch the dancers. There's the office people that email and get contact information to further market the dancers. There are the teachers that tell about the dancers and themselves, so students will come to the dance classes. The tax people that handle the money, well I haven't seen them, but I'm sure they're some where. And then there are the people who give grants, and the people that give donations to help keep the organization up, because this is a non-profit company.
The highlights was the dance, when all the tickets sold out, and people were still calling in to come and save a seat. The food was good, and everyone left with a smile in their face Sunday night.
A challenge I had was trying to keep track of all the people that bought tickets, but hadn't payed yet. Another challenge would be setting up; I had to iron the table cloths and that was a long tedious job, because I don't even like ironing at home.
A memorable moment was... the whole week I guess. I learned so much, and I met new people. There was this one lady from Switzerland, and her accent was bomb. So cool. Lol. I did the small work, and helped with the big stuff. I felt like I was actually part of the dance production, and that was cool.
